
Preparing For Your Sleep Study
Your sleep study requires just minimal preparation. However, it is important to follow these guidelines on the day of your sleep study, which will help maximize your results.
- Do not nap.
- Do not drink any beverages with alcohol or caffeine.
- Do not take any sleep medications. Continue, however, to take your regular medications.
- Bring a list of your regular medications with you to the study.
- Bring comfortable sleep attire. Loose-fitting, two-piece pajamas, or sweatshirt and sweatpants are ideal.
- Bring any personal toiletries you may need.
- You may bring your own pillow as well as an evening snack if desired. A refrigerator is available.
